Are Towels and Beach Chairs Provided on the San Blas Islands?

Towels are not provided! So we highly recommend bringing your own — especially a quick-dry travel towel if you’re packing light. These are useful not just for the beach, but also for showers and boat rides.

What about beach chairs?

You won’t find traditional folding beach chairs or loungers like you might at a resort. However, many islands have handmade seating crafted from palm trees, driftwood, or other natural materials. These are often simple benches or carved log stools — rustic, but part of the local charm.

What to bring for comfort:

• A lightweight towel or pareo you can use as a beach mat
• A travel towel for drying off after swimming
• Optional: a packable sand mat or inflatable cushion if you want something more comfortable to sit on

The experience in San Blas is intentionally simple and natural — so don’t expect full amenities, but do expect stunning beaches, warm hospitality, and a peaceful escape from modern life.
