Do You Allow Pets or Animals on San Blas Trips?

No — pets are not allowed on any Sea San Blas trips, and this includes both day tours and overnight stays in the San Blas Islands (Guna Yala).

This restriction is part of local regulations enforced by the Guna authorities. The Guna Yala region is an autonomous Indigenous territory with strict rules in place to protect the environment, cultural practices, and local wildlife.

Service animals are also not permitted, as exceptions are not recognized within Guna Yala’s legal framework.

We understand this may be disappointing for some travelers, but we ask all guests to respect the rules of the Guna territory and the communities we work with.
