How Long Is the Boat Ride to the San Blas Islands?

The boat ride from the mainland port to the San Blas Islands typically takes 25 to 45 minutes, depending on several factors:

• Which island you're going to
• Weather and sea conditions
• Whether we’re picking up or dropping off other guests on nearby islands along the way

Some islands are closer to the coast, while others are deeper in the archipelago — but we always plan the route to be as efficient and comfortable as possible.

What to expect on the ride:

• The ride is open-air and can be bumpy depending on the wind and tide
• Most boats are covered for shade, but sun protection is still recommended
